How to cancel SiriusXM

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your SiriusXM Streaming, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not SiriusXM directly.
Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

Sign in at siriusxm.com and open the Online Account Center.
Go to the 'Subscriptions' tab and use the option to cancel your direct-billed subscription.
If you'd rather not self-serve, chat with a Listener Care agent (online chat is available 24/7) and ask to cancel.
Or call Listener Care on 1-866-635-8641 (direct-billed cancellations), expect retention offers.
Cancel more than 24 hours before your renewal date, otherwise the subscription may renew and charge you.

Notice period: Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid auto-renewal.
Early-exit charge: None on standard plans; refunds on prepaid time are prorated (minus fees). Lifetime and trial subscriptions are non-refundable. Dispute any charge within 30 days.
