How to cancel Google One

Before you cancel

• There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
• Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
• Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
• If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Google One directly.
• Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

How to cancel Google One, step by step

1. On a computer, go to one.google.com and sign in.
2. Click 'Settings', then 'Cancel membership'.
3. Click 'Cancel membership' again to confirm.
4. You keep your storage and benefits until the end of the billing cycle, then drop to the free 15 GB.
5. On Android: open the Google One app > Menu > Settings > Cancel membership > confirm. On iPhone/iPad, if you bought it in the App Store, cancel through Apple instead.
