How to cancel Disney+

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Disney+ Streaming, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

  • There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
  • There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
  • If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Disney+ directly.
  • Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

How to cancel Disney+, step by step

  1. Go to disneyplus.com and sign in using a web browser or the mobile app (you can't cancel from the smart TV app).
  2. Open your Profile, then select 'Account'.
  3. Under Subscription, select your Disney+ subscription, then choose 'Cancel Subscription'.
  4. Pick a reason if prompted, then confirm to complete the cancellation.
  5. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Notice, fees & cooling-off

Notice period
Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the current billing term (monthly/annual). No pause option.
Early-exit charge
None; no partial refunds for unused time. Cancelling the standalone plan can affect a bundle. Promo/intro rates jump to standard price at renewal.
