How to cancel Bloomberg

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Bloomberg News & Media, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

  • You may be in a minimum contract, so leaving early can trigger an early-exit charge. Ask for the exact figure before you agree to anything.
  • Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
  • There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
  • If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Bloomberg directly.
  • Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

How to cancel Bloomberg, step by step

  1. Sign in at bloomberg.com and go to your account settings.
  2. Open the 'Subscription' tab at the top of the account page.
  3. Select the cancellation option and confirm.
  4. Cancellation is confirmed the same business day and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
