How to cancel Babbel

Before you cancel

• There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
• Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
• There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
• If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Babbel directly.
• Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

How to cancel Babbel, step by step

1. If you subscribed on babbel.com: sign in at home.babbel.com, open 'Profile and Settings', then go to your 'Account Information' page.
2. Find your subscription and select the option to cancel or turn off auto-renewal.
3. Cancel any time up to the day before the renewal date to stop the next charge.
4. If Apple bills you: iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Babbel > Cancel (see 'Cancel via a billing partner' below).
5. If Google Play bills you: Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Babbel > Cancel (see below).
6. You keep access to your courses until the current billing cycle ends.
