How to cancel Apple Music

Before you cancel

• There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
• Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
• Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
• If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Apple Music directly.
• Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

How to cancel Apple Music, step by step

1. On iPhone/iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name, tap 'Subscriptions', tap Apple Music, then 'Cancel Subscription' and confirm.
2. On the web: go to music.apple.com, choose 'Sign In', tap or click the My Account icon, choose 'Settings', scroll to Subscriptions and choose 'Manage', then 'Cancel Subscription'.
3. On Mac: open the App Store app, click your name, click 'Account Settings', then next to Subscriptions click 'Manage', then 'Edit' beside Apple Music, then 'Cancel Subscription'.
4. Confirm. You keep access until the end of the current paid period.
